Once you’ve chosen your category, everyone turns over their top card and lays it down, so that everyone can see. Then, all players compare the number for the chosen category. The player with the highest number in that category wins the round and takes all the cards. It is that simple! Let’s say that in the “Speed” category, player 1 has 200, player 2 has 180, player 3 has 210. So player 3, who has 210, wins this round and take all the card.

Winning and Collecting Cards

When a player wins the round, they collect all the played cards and add them to the bottom of their pile. So, the new pile of cards will be added to the bottom of their face-down pile.

What happens when there is a Tie ?

Sometimes, there is a tie! It happens when two or more players have the same number for the chosen category. When this happens, all the cards are put in the middle of the table. This is called the ‘Pile’ or ‘Pot’. The player who chose the category starts the next round. The winner of this next round takes all the cards from that round, plus the cards from the pile.

Continuing the Game

After each round, the player to the left of the last person who chose the category gets to select the category. The game continues until one player wins all the cards. This person is the Top Trumps champion!
