The first player turns towards the next player to their left and offers their cards faced down like a fan. The next player randomly picks any one of the cards from the fan offered by the first player, and adds that card into their own hand.

The next player will see if the new card creates a pair in their hand, if it does, the player puts the pair face up in front of them, if it doesn’t, the player will keep the card.

After that the second player, offers their cards face down in a fan to the player to their left and the next player does same as explained earlier and the game continues like this.

Continuing the Game

Players keep going around in a circle taking turns like this. Each player is trying to get rid of all their cards, by making matching pairs from the cards they picked from the other player. The gameplay goes on till only one player is left with cards in their hand.

Ending the Game

The game ends when all the cards have been paired, and only one player is left with an unpaired card in their hand. This card is the ‘Old Maid Card’. Here’s what to expect at the end:
